The Stick®(also known as Chapman Stick®) has been around
since it's inventor Emmett Chapman started producing it in 1975.
The normal Stick has 10 strings and the Grand Stick has 12 strings.
You play it primarily by tapping strings on the frets by the fingers
of both right and left hands. In essence, it's like playing piano
directly on strings.
The bass strings are tuned in fifth (similar to cello and violin)
and the melody strings are tuned in fourths (similar to guitar
and bass). The standard tuning of a 10 string Stick is E A D G
C F# B E A D.
The lowest pitched bass and melody strings are in the middle of
the fingerboard, the highest pitched strings are on the outer
edges. This makes the names of the notes match between bass and
melody strings.
There are numerous ways of playing the Stick, but I'll name 3
of the most popular methods:

I have a Logic template that enables me to create Stick TAB
by simply playing both right and left hand parts one at a time
on the midified melody strings. Here are a few results:
| Jesus, unser Trost und Leben | TAB | Midi | MP3 | |
| Amazing Grace | TAB | Midi | ||
| As the deer pants for the water (M.Nystrom) | TAB | Midi | MP3 | |
| Geef vrede, Heer, geef vrede (Lord, give peace) | TAB | MP3 | ||
| Down at the cross (the Kry) | TAB | MP3 | Score | |
| Lamb of God (Twila Paris) | TAB | MP3 | Score |
